Privacy Policy

This policy explains what SimDay, operated by SimDay, collects and how we use it. In plain English: your days are yours.

What we collect

How your day is processed

To grade a day and let simulated colleagues reply in character, the content of your run is sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) through our own secure server function, only to produce that response. We do not sell your data, and we don't use your content to train third-party models beyond the processing needed to answer the request.

Where your data lives

By default, your days are stored on your device. If you sign in, they also sync to your private account so you can use SimDay on more than one device. Access is restricted so that only you can read your data.

Your rights

You can view your days in the app at any time. You can permanently delete your account and all synced data in Settings → Privacy & data → Delete account. Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. If you've only ever used SimDay without an account, you can clear your data from the device on the same screen.

Retention

We keep account data until you delete it.

Children

SimDay is not directed to children under 13.

Account & Data Deletion

You can delete your SimDay account and all associated data at any time:

What is deleted: your account, day results/transcripts, onboarding answers, and any Pro-interest record. What may be retained: minimal, non-identifying records required by law. Requests are actioned within 30 days.

Terms of Service

SimDay is an educational career-simulation app operated by SimDay ("we", "us"). These terms govern your use of the app. By using SimDay you agree to them.

What SimDay is

SimDay lets you play through a simulated workday in a role and get feedback. It is for learning and practice. It is not real employment, not professional or career advice, and not an evaluation by any real employer. Simulated colleagues and feedback are generated by AI and may be imperfect.

Your account

If you create an account, keep your sign-in details secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be old enough to use the app under the laws of your country (at least 13).

Acceptable use

Don't misuse the app: no unlawful, harmful, or abusive content; no attempts to break, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the service or other people's data.

Availability and changes

We may add, change, or remove features, and we may update these terms. If we make material changes we will update the "last updated" date. Continuing to use SimDay after a change means you accept it.

No warranty

SimDay is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent allowed by law.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SimDay is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

Ending your use

You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Privacy & data. We may suspend or end access if these terms are violated.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States.

How grading works

Your day is graded in two parts.

Rule-based checks

Some of your result comes from clear, deterministic checks — for example, whether you took key steps the role expects. These are consistent every time.

AI judgement

The rest is judged by an AI grader against a rubric for the role you played, looking at the substance of your choices and writing.

What we show you

We show an honest band that reflects how the day went — not a fake percentile and not a ranking against other players. The same answer can often be read more than one way, so treat your grade as guidance for growth, not a final verdict.

How we use AI

SimDay uses AI to make each day feel alive.

What the AI does

The simulated colleagues, the curveballs, and your end-of-day feedback are generated by a large language model (Anthropic's Claude), reached through our own secure server function.

What is sent

The content of the day you're playing and your responses are sent to the model so it can reply in character and grade your day.

What is not done

We don't use your content to train third-party models beyond the processing needed to answer the request, and we don't sell it.

A note on accuracy

AI can be wrong or uneven. Feedback is for practice and learning — not professional or career advice.
